“Harbour”라는 단어는 명사로 쓰이는 경우에는 항구나 항만을 뜻한다. 항구나 항만은 방파제 시설이 있어서 유사 시에 배가 대피할 수 있는 곳을 뜻한다.
이러한 측면에서 동사로 쓰이는 경우에는 누군가를 숨겨주거나, 어떤 것을 마음 속에 품는 등의 의미로 쓰인다.
